Julie Chen Moonves, who was among the first hosts and moderators of The Talk (a Daytime Emmy Award winning talk show) She returned on August 5 for the 22nd season. It was only when she started writing that her passion for writing began to emerge. Also, she was awarded the Emmy for hosting and outstanding entertainment talk show. The Talk is a show which examines the current news with five female hosts. Chen Moonves co-hosted CBS NewsThe Morning Show on a weekday The Early Show in 2002 and 2010 before becoming host of the talk show. Before that she was the CBS Morning News anchor and the host for The Early Show. After the attacks of 9/11 the news anchor was sent to Cairo and tracked down the lead hijacker's father for a riveting and shocking interview. Chen Moonves has interviewed newsmakers including the former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, queen Rania of Jordan and former Defense Secretary William Cohen, and celebrities like Denzel Washington, Angelina Jolie, Kanye West, Taylor Swift, Viola Davis, Tom Hanks, Mary J. Blige, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Cruise, Ben Affleck, Barbra Streisand, Betty White, Jamie Foxx, Scarlett Johansson, Katie Holmes, Matthew McConaughey, Chris Rock, Mel Brooks, Robert DeNiro, and Jennifer Lopez. Chen Moonves is also a CBS Sunday Morning reporter, who has profiled stars such as Jamie Lee Curtis. Before The Early Show she was the reporter for WDTN TV Dayton which was based in Dayton Ohio (1995-1997). In her final year of University, she served as an assistant for ABC News in Los Angeles (1990-1991) and was the producer of ABC NewsOne (the network's affiliated news service). In her desk-assistant role for ABC News late night broadcast Nightline She worked alongside Ted Koppel. He remains an inspiration to her in the field of journalism. Chen Moonves collaborated with Koppel to produce the Columbia du-Pont-winning documentary Anatomy of a Riot which focussed on the Los Angeles riots of '92.
